“darkwater” merges photography and written expression into a single immersive project by Wesley Lewis, known as wezlew. More than 180 photographs move through shadow, light, and shifting landscapes to form a visual language that is emotional and atmospheric.

The images are accompanied by poetic texts that expand the emotional range of the work. Themes of longing, connection, and self discovery surface across both mediums. Together, they create a narrative that feels cinematic yet deeply personal.

Influences from Bali and from artists like Henrik Purienne and Pierrot appear in the tone of the work, but “darkwater” remains unmistakably its own. It is expressive, layered, and designed to be experienced slowly, page by page.
