Alfred Stieglitz

Alfred Stieglitz was a pioneering figure in the world of photography and modern art. Over the course of his 50-year career, he played a crucial role in elevating photography to the status of fine art. In addition to his own photographic work, Stieglitz was known for running several influential art galleries in New York, where he introduced many avant-garde European artists to American audiences. He was married to the renowned painter Georgia O'Keeffe.
